Pop/Latin Celebrity Shakira wins four Latin Grammy Awards

Colombian Pop/Latin Celebrity sensation Shakira dominated the seventh Latin Grammy ceremony in New York recently winning four Latin Grammy Awards during the event at Madison Square Garden. It has been a magical night for Shakira, who also performed a steamy rendition of her Grammy-award winning hit, “La Tortura”, used one of her acceptance speeches to pay tribute to millions of Hispanic immigrants saying ‘came to this country with a dream, as I did one day.’ The four Latin Grammy Awards are: Album of the Year fo her album, Fijacion Oral Vol. 1, the award for Best Female Pop Vocal Album, her song, “La Tortura,” a duet with Alejandro Sanz - the Song of the Year Award along with the Record of the Year Award. Jennifer Lopez’ album entirely in Spanish, Como Ama Una Mujer is due in November 28 but until then around the Internet is the tracklist and the cover of her first Spanish album. The Pop/Latin Celebrity recently revealed that her latest album has a special place in her heart, for she found making the album a cathartic experience. Como Ama Una Mujer album is about the mistakes Jennifer made in relationships, loving the men in her life “the way a woman loves”.

The first tune will probable be “That Hiciste” (in English “What Did You Do”) and Jennifer Lopez describes the song as being a ballade at the beginning, but which takes a with dimensions rock’n'roll. Shakira leads Latin Grammy Awards nominees

According to the news, Colombian Pop Celebrity Shakira leads the nomination list for this year Latin Grammy Awards with six nominees. The nominations were announced two days ago in New York. This year’s Latin Grammy Awards will be presented November 2 at New York’s Madison Square Garden and broadcast live on the Univision. Shakira was nominated for the categories of Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, and Best Short Form Music Video, all for “La Tortura” and also for Album Of The Year, Best Female Pop Vocal Album, and Best Short Form Music Video categories for “Fijacion Oral, Vol. 1″.
The Pop Celebrity is being followed by Ricardo Arjona, Julieta Venegas and Gustavo Cerati with four nominations each while Puerto Rican group Calle 13 gets three nominations. Andrea Bocelli Black Eyed Peas with Sergio Mendes are also among the posibile winners.
