Kanye vs 50 Cent

As you all know Kanye West rapper blamed MTV for exploiting him and ruining Britney Spears’ career. MTV bosses has responded to Kanye West’s criticism at the Video Music Awards by extending their relationship and not commenting on the rappers claims. West told New York radio station Z100’s JJ, on Sep 10 that he felt misled and “betrayed” by the network, and has vowed to never work with MTV again. On the other side MTV’s statement instead, complimented the rapper.

In other Celebrity/Music news, so far Kanye West is outselling 50 Cent in the battle of the album sales. According to Nielsen SoundScan’s numbers in the first day of sales. So far in the battle, the numbers show 437,000 for West’s “Graduation,” 310,000 for 50 Cent’s “Curtis” and 107,000 for Chesney’s “Just Who I Am: Poets and Pirates.”

MTV has a long and collaborative relationship with Kanye and we hope and look forward to continuing that meaningful relationship. Kanye West is a visionary performer and he didn’t let his fans down at this year’s VMA’s. From his incredible renditions of “Stronger” and “The Good Life,” to the spectacular aerial shots from his multi-level suite which made for one of the grandest visuals of the night, the audience feedback on MTV.com has been overwhelming.

Kanye vs 50 Cent

The clock is ticking and according to the latest reports 50 Cent’s career may be in danger because it seems that Kanye West’s new album is ahead of Curtis’s by 3 to 1. As a recall the hip-hop heavyweight 50 Cent vowed to quit music career for good, if his new album did not outsell Kanye’s, in the first week. More exactly he won’t put out more solo albums but he will write for others.
I personally doubt it, 50 will most likely take a long break, in the end it’s just a game to help the hip-hop industry because it’s going down, due to pour record sells. Until further news, both rappers were expected to appear on the U.S. show to promote their albums, which were released on the same day - but West pulled out of the programme after vowing he won’t be working with MTV ever again due to the way MTV bosses treated him at the Video Music Awards on Sunday night.

It’s probably at 3 to 1, with Kanye outselling 50 with our sales so far. I anticipated 60% of people picking up both, but we anticipated Kanye selling more.
