Mariah Carey honored by Save The Music Foundation

The Pop Celebrity Mariah Carey was honored by VH1’s Save The Music Foundation at their 10th annual gala. The event was hosted by Conan O’Brien in New York City and included an auction moments by Tim Gunn of Project Runway in which an autographed guitar by Sir Paul McCartney ultimately went for $45,000.

Anyway former President Bill Clinton also received an award on behalf of himself and his wife. As for performances John Mayer, Jon Bon Jovi and Roger Waters all performed with a 60-piece orchestra comprised of Save The Music Foundation students from across the country. The Foundation started back in 1997 in order to raise money for instruments to public schools that cannot afford to buy them.

Music has always been my saving grace. Like everyone growing up, my life wasn’t easy. I don’t always like to talk about it in great detail, but music saved my life literally. Writing songs and singing is so therapeutic for me.

Britney Spears cancels duet with Justin Timberlake?

The New York Post claims Britney Spears has cancelled the recording session and refused to do the duet with former boyfriend Justin Timberlake, giving her record label an ache. The report says the song should have been a part of Britney big music comeback and also could have opened the MTV Video Awards. Apparently Britney Spears has worked very hard on her album and she believe it’s done. On the other side those at he record label Jive are reportedly concerned that Britney’ MTV Video Awards surprise appearance could have ended bad for the singer, however they are confident she will make the comeback.

Jennifer Lopez in search for female dancer for music video

Reports say the pop celebrity Jennifer Lopez is in search for a female dancer to star in her new music video. The cast will start in New York on August 23 and the auditions could also be seen on the road to Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Las Vegas and Miami. Jennifer keen to fine the perfect girl to dance in her upcoming video of the first single single ‘Do It Well’ from her yet not released album. However, for those how are not in the area, could send a 30-second video to the website BecauseYoureHot.com.

In other Celebrity news, due to her Spanish-language album ‘Como Ama Una Mujer’, Jennifer Lopez has revealed that she will release her new English-language album in the autumn, titled ‘Brave’. Meanwhile, Lopez schedule is very busy she will go on tour with husband Marc Anthony in the US this fall in September and October.

T.I. tops BET Hip-Hop Awards Winner List

The first Black Entertainment Television (BET) Hip-Hop Awards took place in Atlanta November 12, in T.I.’ hometown who took home three of the eight trophies he was nominated for at the ceremony: winning Best CD, Hip Hop Video and MVP of The Year. The first-ever BET Hip-Hop Awards ceremony - which was hosted by funnyman Katt Williams being released on bail in November 10 - aired on November 15. Among the first-ever BET Hip-Hop Awards winners are also Sway who received the Best UK Act award and Jermaine Dupri - who opened the ceremony alongside Ludacris and Young Jeezy - taking home Best Producer while Sean ‘P. Soul/R&B singer Joss Stone album and movie plans

According to the news, Soul/R&B singer Joss Stone will release her yet untitled album next March being produced by Raphael Saadiq. The producer has previously worked with music celebrities like Kelis, Common and Angie Stone. Joss Stone third album will follow her 2004‘s Mind, Body and Soul and will include tracks like Headturner, Tell Me What We’re Gonna Do Now, Music, Tell Me ‘Bout It, Nothing Better Than (The iPod Song) and I Wish I Never Met You, Billboard reports.

However until March you can see Soul/R&B singer Joss Stone making her movie debut on December 15 in the fantasy flick Eragon next to Jeremy Irons and John Malkovich.
