The Beatles still top the charts

BBC’s Radio Two Music Club Top 100 Albums chart made a poll to find out which is the best album of all times. The winner is The Beatles with their album called ‘Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’. The British public considered that The Beatles deserve to be number one on BBC’s Radio Two Music Club Top 100 Albums chart to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the UK album chart.

On the second place was Michael Jackson’s best-selling ‘Thriller’, U2’s album ‘The Joshua Tree’ on the third spot and Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Rumours’ on number four. On number five we have Pink Floyd’s album ‘Wish You Were Here’. There have been 787 number one albums voting over 220,000 people in the poll, through websites for both the official charts and Radio 2.

Christina Aguilera No. 1 on Billboard 200 albums

The pop celebrity, Christina Aguilera, came back with a new album called ‘Back to Basics’ with ‘Ain’t no other man’ as the lead single of the new pop album. Well, in the first week since the new album hit the stores, ‘Back to Basics’ sold 346,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. This way, the pop singer, became number one on Billboard 200 albums chart, in front of other new four albums. This is for the second time that the pop artist, Christina Aguilera, became number one on Billboard 200 after the self-titled album of the singer in 1999.

Fergie continues to top Billboard Hot 100 Chart

The Black Eyed Peas celebrity, Fergie, continues to stay on number one on Billboard Hot 100 chart and on Billboard Pop 100 chart for a third week consecutive with her first solo single ‘London Bridge’, part of the new pop album of the singer ‘The Dutchess’ which is set to be released on September 19. On number 2 and 3 the situation stays the same for the Billboard Hot 100 chart. On number two Gnarls Barkley with ‘Crazy’ and on number three Nelly Furtado ‘Promiscuous’ .

Actually, the first five places on Billboard Hot 100 chart stays the same. On first place Fergie with ‘London Bridge’, the first single of her debut solo album ‘The Dutchess’, on the second spot Gnarls Barkley continues with ‘Crazy’ single, on number three Nelly Furtado featuring Timbaland with ‘Promiscuous’, on number four Cassie ‘Me & U’ and on number five The Pussycat Dolls continues with ‘Buttons’, a featuring with Snoop Dogg.

LeToya had just one week of joy because this week she’s no longer number one on Billboard 200 chart. The first place this week, belongs to NOW 22 for the third week non-consecutive selling 127,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen Soundscan. On the second spot we have a ‘hot shot’ DMX and ‘Year Of The Dog…Again’, followed by two new albums Kidz Bop Kids with ‘Kidz Bop 10′ on number three and Stone Sour with ‘Come What(ever) May’ on number four. The fifth place is taken by the last week’s number one ‘LeToya’ and her R&B self-titled album.
