50 Cent to retire?

There is a big chance that the Hip-Hop star 50 Cent will face retirement due to album battle with rival Kanye West. By real name Curtis Jackson, has gambled his music career in a short interview last month, saying that he will quit if his new album Curtis won’t outsell West’s Graduation. The records were released on September 11th and according to the recent reports, 50 Cent found himself in the UK charts at number two right after Kanye West who is placed at number one. The final result for their first-week will not be published until tomorrow buy the official US charts. The sad news for 50 Cent is that the same result is expected in Britain too.

In other Celebrity new, the hip-hop heavyweight 50 Cent already is giving sings of retirement as he has cancelled his European tour yesterday, which had included plans to appear at London’s Mobo awards and the Vodafone Live Music awards tomorrow night. The rapper has reportedly cancelled his shows due to an “unforeseen and unanticipated change in his schedule”.

Josh Groban number one album in Canada

According to Nielsen SoundScan reports, Josh Groban’s new album, Awake, which was released on November 7, was the number one selling album in Canada for the week ending November 12, 2006, being Josh’s first number one album in Canada. Josh Groban - who will have his North American Awake tour in 2007 - took care of the writing and producing songs along with musical contributions from Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Dave Matthews, Eric Mouquet, John Ondrasiak, Marius DeVries, Imogen Heap, Herbie Hancock and of course David Foster. The singer’ first track from his new album named Awake is “You Are Loved” and was written by Canadian Thomas Salter.

Beyonce No. 1 on Billboard 200 Albums Chart

The R&B celebrity, Beyonce Knowles, is number one this week on Billboard 200 Albums Chart with her newest solo album ‘B’day’ released on September 4th. According to Nielsen SoundScan, the R&B artist’s album sold 541,000 albums in its first week in United States, best sold album since Tool’s ‘10,000 Days’, which sold 564,000 in May. The R&B celebrity also won the number one spot on Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.

The second spot is taken by Audioslave with their new album ‘Revelations’, the third place is now occupied by the last week’s number one Bob Dylan and his new album ‘Modern Times’. On the forth place we find Diddy’s R&B female group Danity Kane with their self-titled debut album which also won number one on Billboard 200 Albums Chart about two weeks ago.

The R&B group Danity Kane debuted this week on number one on Billboard 200 Albums chart with their first self-titled album released on August 22. According to Nielsen SoundScan, the R&B album of Danity Kane sold 234,000 copies in the United States, bringing down the last week’s number one Christina Aguilera ‘Back to basics’ on number three. OutKast and their ‘Idlewild’ soundtrack stays this week on number two. Paris Hilton enter this week on Billboard 200 Chart with her first album ‘Paris’ on number six, being the highest debut for a new solo female pop artist this year.

The pop celebrity Justin Timberlake is this week number one on Billboard Hot 100 chart with his new single ‘Sexy Back’ jumping all the way from number 31. This way, Fergie is no longer number one with her first solo single ‘London Bridge’. The pop singer, Fergie, fell down one spot, being this week on number two. Sean Paul and his new single ‘(When you gonna) Give it up to me’ featuring Keyshia Cole, are this week on number three, one place higher on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. I think that this song should be number one instead of Justin’s ‘Sexy Back’.
