Timbaland says Britney Spears should team with Justin Timberlake

Britney Spears

The music producer Timbaland is now positive that pop singer Britney Spears could make her spectacular music comeback but only with Justin Timberlake by her side. Timbaland says Britney desperately needs a “comeback story” and thats where Justin comes in. Teaming up with former boy-friend Justin Timberlake it’s something that the record producer would love to happen but unfortunately he isn’t optimistic that it will actually happen. According to Timbaland, Britney had become big-headed and had dissed him and Justin Timberlake. They were scheduled to meet a Los Angeles recording studio to re-record the Motown classic ‘You’re All I Need to Get By’, originally a hit for Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell in 1968 but Britney failed to show up.

It’ll never happen. Nah. It could’ve, but it won’t. I feel her pain, it really bothers me. I asked Justin, ‘How would you feel about me working with Britney? Would you do it with me?’ He said he would.

She has no comeback story. That’s the problem. She has to have a team. She needs to come back with Justin doing records; [then we’d see headlines like,] ‘She went back to her ex and she’s making smashes.’ [But instead she got] so big-headed and [was] like, ‘Screw you, screw you, I don’t need nobody.’

She should humble herself and make a phone call and say, ‘I’m sorry.’ She knows what she’s sorry about. She needs to say, ‘I was wrong,’ and it’ll definitely move forward. … That’s all she has to say.

Prince to sue YouTube, eBay over unauthorized music?

Prince

Apparently so. The U.S. pop star Prince plans to sue YouTube and other major Web sites for unauthorized use of his music. The singer is frustrated with the fact that YouTube can filter other “banned” materials except the unauthorized music or film content. In response to Prince affirmations YouTub said their team try their best to respect copyrights and is working with artists to help them manage their music on the site.

Prince is not stopping here, he plans legal action against eBay and Pirate Bay, a site accused by Hollywood and the music industry as being a major source of music and film piracy. I honest advice here, forget it Prince. It’s crazy. It’s the biggest mistake ever, YouTube is the greatest thing that could happen to you people out there in the spotlight. You should try to benefit as much as possible not fight with it. It’s a new era and these are the new ways of connecting with your fans. YouTube.com is the popular online video-sharing site, and while stars like Prince are disturbed by the popular Web sites, some up-and-coming performers actually encourage online file sharing to create a fan base around a record.

Most content owners understand that we respect copyrights, we work every day to help them manage their content, and we are developing state-of-the-art tools to let them do that even better. We have great partnerships with major music labels all over the world that understand the benefit of using YouTube as another way to communicate with their fans.

Kanye vs 50 Cent

As you all know Kanye West rapper blamed MTV for exploiting him and ruining Britney Spears’ career. MTV bosses has responded to Kanye West’s criticism at the Video Music Awards by extending their relationship and not commenting on the rappers claims. West told New York radio station Z100’s JJ, on Sep 10 that he felt misled and “betrayed” by the network, and has vowed to never work with MTV again. On the other side MTV’s statement instead, complimented the rapper.

In other Celebrity/Music news, so far Kanye West is outselling 50 Cent in the battle of the album sales. According to Nielsen SoundScan’s numbers in the first day of sales. So far in the battle, the numbers show 437,000 for West’s “Graduation,” 310,000 for 50 Cent’s “Curtis” and 107,000 for Chesney’s “Just Who I Am: Poets and Pirates.”

MTV has a long and collaborative relationship with Kanye and we hope and look forward to continuing that meaningful relationship. Kanye West is a visionary performer and he didn’t let his fans down at this year’s VMA’s. From his incredible renditions of “Stronger” and “The Good Life,” to the spectacular aerial shots from his multi-level suite which made for one of the grandest visuals of the night, the audience feedback on MTV.com has been overwhelming.
