Chris Brown and Ciara Set to Host BET’s Rip The Runaway

R&B Celebrities Chris Brown and Ciara will host BET’s Rip The Runaway, according to BET Networks. The worlds of hip-hop and fashion will once again unite for the most glamorous hour of television. The show will tape at the Manhattan Center in New York City, March 6, 2007 and BET will televise it on Wednesday, March 14 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. BET’s Rip The Runaway pays tribute to one of the most influential cultures: music, diversity and style. Reports say that producers of the Grammy Awards and BET Awards will co-producing the big event.

Ciara’s second album, Ciara: The Evolution, was released in December 2005 and debuted number one on the Billboard 200 while Chris Brown is a R&B/Pop sensation and actor who got in 2005 the number one in Billboard Hot 100 with debut single “Run It!” featuring Juelz Santana.

Gwen Stefani Confirms No Doubt Reunion

According to the news, Gwen Stefani has confirmed she will reunite and record a new album with No Doubt next year. The band had been on a break since Gwen Stefani successfully reinvented herself as a solo artist. The pop singer is desperate to return to her band and has already planned their comeback hits. Bandmate Tom Dumont also revealed he’s been working on new material too, alongside guitarist Tony Kanal and drummer Adrian Young.

In other Celebrity news, Jennifer Lopez and Gwen Stefani signed up to appear as guest judges and perform on the April 11 on American Idol show. Full details are yet to be announced!

Beyonce Knowles leads Soul Train Nominations

According to the news, R&B Celebrity Beyonce Knowles has received three Soul Train Music Award nominations, for Best Female Album, Best Female Single for ‘Irreplaceable’ and the Michael Jackson Award for Best Music Video, while Mary J Blige has two nominations, Best Female R’n'B Soul Single and Best Female R’n'B Soul Album. On the male nominations side we have celebrities like John Legend (Best Male Album and Best Male Single) Chris Brown (Best Male Single and Best Male Album), Ne-Yo and Yung Joc. The winners will be announced at the 21st Anniversary Soul Train Music Awards which will take place on March 10 at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium.

Diddy and Jay-Z to launch urban Video On Demand channel?

According to the news, Hip-Hop stars Shawn ‘Jay-Z’ Carter and Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs are reportedly negotiating with Comcast about launching a urban Video On Demand (VOD) channel. New York Post reveals that the heavyweights attended a meeting with Comcast - which does not have an urban video-on-demand channel - at their New York offices to talk about the idea. In other Celebrity news, Diddy will be heading out on an European tour next month.

The presence of the brothers Weinstein was twofold: since they’re already acquainted with both Comcast and the rap icons, they served as a perfect conduit for the meeting. And if the project ever gets off the ground, the Weinstein’s would be the money guys behind it, this source said.

According to the news as Whitney Houston, the Pop Celebrity Britney Spears gets R&B singer-songwriter Ne-Yo to help her with his writing skills for her comeback album. The stars are very lucky to have Ne-Yo’s tracks for their upcoming albums, as he is the one responsible for Beyonce’s success for Irreplaceable single. Another good news is that for Britney’s album, Ne-Yo has been asked not to address to Kevin Federline in the tracks. Anyway, fans of Ne-Yo should know that he is planning to release his own new album later this year!

I’ve been working close with her A&R people. They talk to her every day and are basically coming to me with information as far as songs she’s looking for. One thing they told me was, ‘No more songs about Kevin. She’s got a 12-CD disc changer full of songs about Kevin. She don’t need no more of those’.
