
The Pop Celebrity singer Gwen Stefani officially confirmed her second solo album, The Sweet Escape and also unveiled her new single, “Wind It Up” produced by Pharrell Williams. As previously revealed, the album, which would be out on December 5, consist tracks which were recorded at the time of Love Angel Music Baby album but were not retained for the final tracklist. Songs written with Linda Perry such as “Fine By You” and “Wonderful Life For Him,” which MTV.com reports features Martin Gore of Depeche Mode on guitar, didn’t appear on L,A,M,B but will be on the new record of Gwen’s. According to MTV, Gwen’s other collaborators on The Sweet Escape include stars such as Akon, Swiss Beatz, Tim Rice-Oxley of Keane and her No Doubt bandmate Tony Kanal.
This album is surprisingly different than the last one. I started recording it last year before [my son] Kingston was born and it’s definitely evolved over the last year. The dance sound is very ‘now.’ It’s modern… not so retro.
