According the New York Daily News reports, Nick Lachey’s newest album has sold twice as many copies as Jessica Simpson’s. The two were husband and wife for three years. Jessica asked the divorce and the ex-celebrity couple had a much-publicized split. Life goes on and so as their music careers, each releasing new albums “What’s Left of Me” of Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson “Public Affair”.

That being said when comparing sales of Simpson and Lachey’s album sales, he appears to have publicly recovered quickly due to his open sadness while Jessica Simpson chose to offer listeners a quite pop album in the wake of her divorce. Simpson’s fourth album has sold a total of 218,972 copies ( while her last album sold 2.9 million copies ) and currently sits at No. 131 on Billboard’s Top 200 Album list, while Nick Lachey new album has seen 545,345 sales - triple the amount of sales Lachey enjoyed till now.

Surprised? According to the to media reports, the Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson has signed a deal to make her first record, Scarlett Sings Tom Waits. The album is being recorded right as we speak and is set to be finished through the winter. The album is believed to be released next spring (2007) from Rhino Records’ currently re-activated Atco label while sources suspect that the eventual release date will coincide with Johansson’s movie schedule. Other details about this news comes from Fox News, which says that the Hollywood Celebrity Scarlett Johansson is recording a whole album of songs by premier singer/songwriter Waits.

In other Celebrity news, Scarlett Johansson wanted to expose her breasts in the action thriller ‘The Island’- but was stopped by the director Michael Bay who demanded she wore a bra because the film is PG13.’ As a recall in June this year In Touch’ poll magazine gave Scarlett Johansson the title of the celebrity with the best boobs in Hollywood.

Essence Musical Festival is coming back to New Orleans

According to Newsday, The Essence Musical Festival is coming back to New Orleans, after moving to Houston last year while the city recovered from Hurricane Katrina. The musical festival, which is will take place next year on July 5-7, is known for its Hip-Hop, Rap, R&B and Soul performances at night, and during the day inspiring “empowerment seminars”.

Lt. Gov. Mitch Landrieu, president of Essence Communications, said Louisiana has worked since a few weeks after Hurricane Katrina to make sure the state didn’t lose the festival, which was started in New Orleans in 1995 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Essence magazine.

Essence’s return to Louisiana sends the signal to the world that we are back in business. This major event, which attracts over 200,000 visitors each year, will be a shot in the arm for our economy and the thousands of small businesses and employers that rely on tourists.

Diddy Regrets Not Signing Ludacris to his Bad Boy Records label

According to the news, Hip-Hop/Rap mogul Diddy regrets he didn’t sign Ludacris to his Bad Boy Records label. At the beginning of his music career, Ludacris was a DJ in Atlanta and though he was a radio station sensation, Hip-Hop Celebrity Diddy (who recently vowed to marry his pregnant girlfriend, long-term partner Kim Porter, one day) confessed he couldn’t quite saw rapper Ludacris as a famous star at that time.

We can’t always see them when they come. I’m only human. He used to work at a radio station down there and he was doing some writing. He played me his demo tape and I just didn’t understand the whole flow at that time, so I passed on that one.
