The R&B girl group, Danity Kane released on August 22 a self-titled debut album and already sold about 100,000 albums in United States and it seems like in only one week they will be moving over 200,000 copies. The R&B band could top the album charts next week making it one of the fastest selling albums in the United States this week. The album includes productions from Timbaland, Scott Storch, Rodney Jerkins and Brian Cox.

The hip-hop artist, Diddy, said that the girls are a phenomenon and that their record just went to radio so they didn’t even have a record, no spins at radio. It shows the true testament of their fan base people that watch the show and how hot the album is. Diddy also said that they are rushing to keep the album in the stores because as soon as we put in the stores it sells out. If these girls outsell one of the biggest rap groups in history, that’s just gonna be crazy.

The rap celebrity, DMX, has canceled the concerts he planned to give for the United States troops in Kuwait and Irak. According to the United Service Organizations, the rap singer was supposed to depart for the Persian Golf region on August 22. But DMX delayed his trip to August 23 when it seems like the rap celebrity didn’t show up and lost the flight which was going to Kuwait even if the military worked very hard in satisfying the rap celebrity’s travel requests.

The good news is that 50 Cent, Ludacris, Master P., Lil’ Romeo declared their wish to go perform for the United States troops. Anyway, John Hanson, USO senior vice president for marketing and communications said that they are extremely disappointed that DMX decided not to complete the tour he asked them to arrange for him and that when they announced this tour, troops were extremely excited about the possibility of seeing a performer they admired.

Paris Hilton ‘Stars are blind’ video banned in India

Paris Hilton.jpg

The fresh pop celebrity, Paris Hilton, has problems with her first music video ‘Stars are blind’ in India. It seems like the the video has been classified as “A” or “adult viewing” by the Central Board of Film Certification or the Censor Board. Why? Just because the video had sexual connotation. In India ‘any film or video with intimate scenes, suggestive dance movements or lyrics with a sexual connotation is given an ‘A’ certificate’.

EMI Music India, which is launching and distributing Paris Hilton’s debut album in India for Warner Bros Records, said it will not now release the video on television at all because even if they cut a few portions before sending it for viewing by the board members, they still felt it had a sexual connotation and gave it an ‘A’ rating. I wonder why Paris didn’t declared that she started crying. After all, she’s so sensitive that she even cries every time she hears her new album.
