The R&B celebrity Beyonce leads the nominations for the UK’s Music Of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards with mentions in four categories: Best International Female where the R&B singer Beyonce will compete with Mary J Blige and Nelly Furtado, Best R&B Act award, Best Song and Best Video for ‘Deja Vu’ single, featuring her rap artist fiance Jay-Z, despite it not being released until August 21.

Although Corinne Bailey Rae has only six months after the release of her debut album, the R&B singer receive three nominations: Best UK Female, Best Song for ‘Put Your Records On’ and Best UK Newcomer. The nominations for Best Group are Black Eyed Peas, Gnarls Barkley, OutKast, Pussycat Dolls and The Streets. The London ceremony will be held at the Royal Albert Hall and presented by comedian Gina Yashere on 20 September.
