Indiestore is a legal service which gives the chance to independent artists and labels to sell their music through the Internet. 7 Digital launched this service on 23 May and it seems like this downloading music service has a good future. Indiestore music service enables unsigned artists to have their own music downloading store with just a free sign-up and up to 80% of download revenues goes directly to the artist. The free version of the service gives artists the opportunity to sell up to four tracks and the ‘Pro’ version lets artists sell up to 20 tracks. Michael Jackson.jpg

Michael Jackson will receive an award to the MTV Japan Awards for his career and the great contribution the artist had in pop music. The pop celebrity, Michael Jackson, continues to receive awards for his singles and albums released so long time ago. The ceremony will take place on Saturday in Tokio. It seems like Japanese people are big fans of Michael Jackson because the pop celebrity sold more then 100 million albums in Japan.

The pop celebrity said that he looks forward to seeing old friends and saying hello to his huge fan base in Japan, fans who had consistently shown their love and support to Michael Jackson and his family. Because of that (maybe) the pop artist is not going there only for the award but also the trip will include visiting orphanages and meeting with members of Japan’s business community.

iTunes Music Store allows to re-download all songs

iTunes.jpg
Apple’s iTunes Music Store let’s you re-download all the music you lost and re-grants the purchases history. So, if you lost your whole collection of music you can put it back because iTunes Music Store allows you to. Well, I think this is a great news. Apple iTunes Music Store said that in the event that a customer’s entire music library is lost, the iTunes Music Store does re-grant the purchases history, but, you have to keep in mind that Apple does not offer protection against the loss of purchases.

In other news, Apple is now in a juridical argue with Creative Technology. Apple sued Creative because the U.S. division of Creative Technology infringes four patents in its hand-held digital players and Creative sued Apple in the same day, because of the iPods and iPod nanos importation and sale after importation into the United States.

Nelly Furtado1.jpg

Nelly Furtado is number one on iTunes chart, being the most downloaded single on iTunes, winning this spot with her newest song ‘Promiscuous’, a featuring with Timbaland. Pop celebrity’s single jumped this week from number 30 to number 9 on Billboard Hot 100 chart. Pop singer’s success made Rihanna’s top spot to fall on number three on the both charts, on iTunes chart and Billboard Hot 100 chart. Honestly, I was expecting for Nelly Furtado’s single ‘Crowd Control’, for which she collaborated with Justin Timberlake, but maybe this single will hit the radio stations when Justin Timberlake will release his new album. The pop artist’s album ‘Loose’ is set to be release on June 20th.
