According to the news, hip-hop stars Busta Rhymes and Missy Elliott, actor/singer Jamie Foxx, and R&B celebrity Mary J. Blige each picked up four nominations at the BET Awards. The ceremony, which will be host by Damon Wayans, honors the leading black players in music, film/TV and sport and the winners will be unveiled on June 27 at the Shrine Auditorium in downtown Los Angeles. Performers will include R&B celebrities Mary J. Blige and Mariah Carey, rapper T.I., and hip-hop star Kanye West.

Celebrities like Kanye West, R&B stars Ne-Yo and Chris Brown are with three nominees each while Anthony Hamilton, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Ciara, Keyshia Cole, Lloyd Banks, Carey, Mary Mary, Papoose, Rah Digga, Slim Thug and T.I. with two each.

Singer Chaka Khan will be presented with the BET Lifetime Achievement Award and Harry Belafonte will receive the BET Humanitarian Award.
