Jessica Simpson moves to Epic

Jessica Simpson

Jessica Simpson moved from Columbia to Epic Records. Her new album with this label is expected to be release later this year. No album name, no release date, nothing about her new album. The only thing we know is that it will be recorded at Epic Records. It is said that a new single is on its way, a single with R&B influences. Celebrity’s last album ‘In this skin’ released in 2003, had a pretty good success - selling 2.9 million copies in United States - but will the new album with the new label, be able to keep Jessica Simpson on the top of music charts?

I love all my friends and supporters at Columbia.  […] Epic is in a new place with a new leader. It just seems the right place for me as I begin my new journey.

Nick Lachey ‘journal’ album

Nick Lachey

Nick Lachey, the ex-husband of pop celebrity Jessica Simpson, will release an album on 23 May. We do not know its name yet, but what we do know is that he recorded his confessional first single ‘What’s Left Of Me’, a song which was made when Jessica Simpson told him she wants to divorce. On Thanksgiving Day last year, Lachey received a phone call from Jessica Simpson telling him their marriage was over. A reason more for Nick Lachey to put his feelings about the split into his new album. It seems the album is kind of a journal of the last year of Lachey’s life.

Sean Paul number 1 in Billboard Hot 100 Chart

Sean Paul

Sean Paul is number one in Billboard Hot 100 Chart for the third time in his music career. After ‘Get Busy’ and ‘Baby Boy’ is now time for ‘Temperature’ to take the throne. The reggae star brought down on number 3 last two week’s no. 1 Ne-Yo with ‘So Sick’. On number 2, this week, stands Daniel Powter with ‘Bad Day’. Talking about Daniel Powter, he’s number one on iTunes Chart while Sean Paul is on number six.

On Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart Mary J. Blige is for the 13 week consecutive number 1, being number five on Billboard Hot 100 Chart. Honestly, her ‘Be without you’ is such a great song, the R&B Queen still deserves to be number one.

Aaron Carter

Aaron Carter was sued in Los Angeles Superior Court Tuesday for not respecting a contract he had while he was a minor. The contract was signed between Aaron Carter and Trans Continental Records in December 2004 at the age of 17. It seems like now that he is 18, Aaron Carter wants to break down the pact he had while he was underage.

Carter’s attorney sent a letter to Trans Continental Records in which he specify that his client had every right to ‘hereby disaffirms, cancels, and voids any and all such agreements that may have been signed … at the time he was a minor’. The record company, said it has invested time and money aplenty on Carter’s career and wants the court to find ‘the recording agreement to be valid and binding’.
