50 Cent defends breaking retirement promise

50 Cent

After keeping it quite for a while, the hip-hop/rapper heavyweight 50 Cent has spoken out about breaking his promise to retire from rap after his album chart defeat by Kanye West. 50 Cent defended himself and revealed it’s “impossible” for rappers to quit.

Hip-Hop star 50 Cent was reportedly facing retirement due to album battle with rival Kanye West. By real name Curtis Jackson, gambled his music career, saying that he will quit if his new album Curtis won’t outsell West’s Graduation. The records were released on September 11th and 50 Cent found himself in the UK charts at number two right after Kanye West who is placed at number one. Despite losing the battle in September, 50 says he won’t be retiring.

I don’t know if it’s possible for a rapper to retire, rappers are like fighters. They condition themselves to be the best. All rappers think they are the best. And they are just waiting for everyone else to recognise they are the best. You’ll see them come back and come back.

Justin Timberlake writes another song about Britney Spears

November 22nd, 2007

Justin Timberlake

According to a new report, Justin Timberlake teams up with Duran Duran to produce a track ‘loosely’ based on Britney Spears. Timberlake produced and co-written Falling Down with British band Duran Duran about his ex-girlfriend’s dramatic fall from grace. This is not the first time when Justin is using Britney Celebrity status and image, when he split from Britney he released his hit single Cry Me a River which featured a girl who looked just like the pop princess in the video. Reports say that in the Falling Down video, it shows a Britney look-a-like checking into rehab.

I suppose it’s loosely based on her, but not only on one celebrity - just celebrity culture in general. A lot of young celebrities seem to disappear into rehab. So it’s kind of like, what could be happening in your wildest dream in that rehab centre?”
- Duran Duran drummer Roger Taylor said -

I haven’t spoken to Justin since the video has been made public. But he likes his pretty girls, so he probably would like it. I just wish Britney could accept help. It seems that all the people who care about her, she’s pushing away.
